Roberta Ferguson has been named President of our Women’s Safety Apparel Division

MWG Apparel Corp. is proud to announce Roberta Ferguson as the new President of our Women’s Safety Apparel Division.
Roberta has been a leader of our team since she began in 1987. She has established herself as a leader in the Canadian textile industry, winning awards for her innovation in fabrics and design. Over the last 30 years, she has been a driving force behind the design, development, and manufacturing of all MWG Apparel garments. Her creativity, ingenuity, and attention to detail have resonated with all of our customers, who can see and feel the time and care put in to each and every garment they put on.
As we work toward the further development and expansion of our women’s and men’s flame-resistant, arc-rated, and high-visibility clothing lines, there is no better person to lead our efforts than Roberta.
MWG Apparel has been a leader in flame-resistant and arc-rated clothing for decades, and our focus has historically been on producing safety garments for men. But as more women start taking on roles in electrical utilities, mining, and other sectors, Roberta and our team have recognized the demand for high-quality women’s safety gear has grown. Roberta is now working with experts in the field to design and manufacture workwear that combines high-performance fabrics with a proper fit and feel. We are now proud to say we offer a range of women’s flame-resistant styles, and are planning to further expand with the development of new products.
With Roberta’s leadership, MWG Apparel has the goal to be an industry leader in women’s safety apparel, specifically hi-vis and FR/ARC clothing, to help more women feel safe and comfortable while on the worksite. We hope our efforts can encourage more women to pursue careers in electrical utilities, electrical contracting, mining, oil & gas, construction, or any historically male role, and help to create a truly inclusive and diverse workforce.
